MécaGp offers you here quality engine screws tested and approved on our own engines for years and designed to combine aesthetics and reliability!
Perfect for adding that missing finish to your engines!
Here we find the screws for the Derbi and AM6 engine casings.
For Derbi : 8 screws in anodized aluminum of the best quality including ONE screw shorter than the others which is mounted at the level of the intake , along the reeds. If you are not sure, first screw all the screws by hand or with a screwdriver without forcing, if a screw does not go in completely it is too long.
For AM6 : 9 screws made of the best quality anodized aluminum, all the same size, so you can't go wrong. You simply have to go around your casing with the screws.
Why 8-9 and not 12-14 screws like any engine screw pack you find on other sites? In order to get you the best value for money, we are on aluminum screws that tighten to 6 NM Except that, what our competitors do not tell you, is that if you mount 12 aluminum screws on your engine, it has a very good chance of having an air intake because the crankcase will not be tight enough! This is why the pack is designed to keep the 4 original screws which are located behind the ignition. These are hidden by the ignition, which does not disturb the aesthetics in any way but allows you to combine aesthetics and reliability!
Don't forget we are using aluminum screws, maximum tightening at 6 NM !
A torque wrench is necessary ! ( little tip : if you don't have one, the tightening corresponds to less than 1/4 turn after contact, but if the screw breaks, we cannot be held responsible, the torque wrench is necessary!)
A drop of weak thread lock is strongly recommended !
You also have the option of ordering custom screw packs , such as Titanium packs or with different colors like on our Derbilator with blue and pink screws!
Contact us here.
Attention !
The packs only contain the central engine casing screws and not the intake or clutch, these will be separate packs.
